I can't express how amazing our stay was at the Gifford-Risley House. We booked the house for our wedding party - the hosts went over and above to make us feel welcome. We loved the morning breakfasts, the beautiful rooms and the get-ready room was perfect for day-of wedding hair/makeup. The owner Monica (a former florist) even helped us with our wedding bouquets and florals! We will definitely be staying again the future!
My husband and I stayed here in October 2021 for an overnight getaway as an anniversary celebration. We had the absolute best time. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were stunning, historic, and engaging. The breakfast was delicious, and when we first arrived they even greeted us with homemade cornbread that was mouthwatering. The location is great as we parked close to State street and walked around downtown Media and had fantastic dinner and dessert. I highly recommend this B&B, and I really want to go back!!
We stayed here with my husband and were absolutely delighted. It’s so much better than staying at a hotel - the atmosphere is incredible and full of history. The interiors look even more beautiful in person than in the photos. Everything is carefully and tastefully decorated, with so much attention to detail. The hosts are truly lovely people. They even woke up earlier to prepare breakfast for us (normally it’s served at 9 a.m., which we didn’t see mentioned anywhere). Breakfast was delicious - fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and an omelet with sausages - we really enjoyed it! If we come back to this area, we’ll definitely stay here again. I wish your business continued success!
The Gifford-Risley House was our first experience of using a B&B. Monica & Z are incredible host, they are inviting & accommodating. The house was stunning in just about every way. Beautiful!! Breakfast was delicious and relaxing. Just a short walk to State Street for dining & entertainment. We found a place that we are looking forward to staying again at. We might have came as strangers but we'll return as friends.
The Gifford-Risley House is an outstanding B&B. We stayed in their Renaissance Room for 9 nights over the Thanksgiving 2025 week. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, including a large bathroom and closet. The hosts, Monika and Z, were wonderful, very friendly, and helpful. Breakfasts were great! The house is also conveniently located just a few blocks from the Media, PA main street, which is lined with a number of shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!
Our book club went here for afternoon tea. We had such a great time. The B&B is so beautiful! The owners put their heart and soul into it. The teas were wonderful. There was a great selection of sandwiches and treats. Soup was a nice extra. The service was excellent. It was a very nice relaxing afternoon.
Have stayed here twice. Z and Monica are welcoming and friendly and provide a delicious variety for breakfast. Despite the vintage decor, there is no musty smell and everything is spotless. Had a very comfortable stay and looking forward to next time.
We just finished staying at the Gifford-Risley house for two nights in the Queen Victoria Suite that suited our family of 4 (kids 11 and 15) well. WOW! It is such an amazing and wonderful place. The entire Victorian has been redone by the hosts, Monika and Zee, with exquisite taste! It is so clean, comfortable, and cozy. The hosts are AMAZING! The breakfasts are superb. There are so many thoughtful touches. We highly, highly, highly recommend this place!
Our stay was marvelous. The entire house is so clearly loved by its attentive owners, and every detail of the Victorian decor is beautiful. We stayed in the Arts and Crafts Room and found it perfectly clean and comfortable. Z urged us to spend time on the front porch and in the wonderful drawing rooms. Sitting on the front porch swing in the breeze was heavenly. The generous breakfast was a treat, from the freshly baked muffins to the delicious omelette. We absolutely will stay here again!
